In addition, participants also spend time on wedding theme and design and creating their own personalized newsletter. "I have personally experienced some of the frustrations that couples face when it comes to budgeting for their wedding. When I got married, I set my budget at $7,000. I had an absolutely beautiful wedding and in addition a one week honeymoon in Maui, Hawaii for under $7, 000." said Zakiyah Brooks, Director of Wedding Workshop Productions.
Brooks added, "Many times couples feel trapped and discouraged because on the surface it looks like there are no reasonable avenues to take when trying to cut costs for their wedding. Couples are often unaware of how to tap into the resources that are available for every bride and groom. Planning For The Big Day 101 helps by teaching that with a little creativity, some sound project management and the right resources, you can and will have the wedding you desire without spending a fortune."
Classes are currently being offered in the Metro Detroit area for $20 and meet for one hour on Saturday mornings for four weeks. The next session begins on August 19, 2006 and although sessions often fill up fast, classes are offered on an ongoing basis.
